We loved our stay at driftwood!! The location was stunning and very intimate. It was nice being able to have all of our friends and family close whether they were on the venue or staying across the street. Our family has already talked about maybe going back and taking the family trip there again one day!

The Driftwood Lodge is the perfect venue to celebrate your love, unwind and connect with the people that matter the most to you. As a wedding photographer, it's always a pleasure visiting this property. It's versatile and offers so much that is iconic to Sonoma County including coastal views and a redwood trail. There's onsite lodging to spend a weekend with your closest people and there's also a large barn available for your reception if you have a higher guest-count. The golden hour is spectacular, I can't wait to come back. Photos by Loren Hansen Photography

What a wonderful, secluded, and peaceful property! It was the perfect place for our group of 10 friends. The panoramic ocean view, communal fire pit area, and large wind protected outdoor deck with comfortable lounging options made for a memorable, relaxing getaway. The indoor dining area was large and we were all able to sit together for our meals. The kitchen, although on the small side, was well stocked with utensils, cookware, dishes, glasses, etc. and served our needs just fine. There were no screens on the sliding doors in ground floor rooms 1 and 2 and it was warm enough we would’ve wanted to leave them open at night for some fresh air if there had been screens so that would be one suggested future improvement. The reservation, check in, and check out processes were seamless and the owner/manager was always very responsive. We all loved the friendly goat herd that made frequent appearances around the lodge. We would love to come back sometime.

What a stunning and magical place to celebrate our daughter’s wedding! The layout of the Driftwood Lodge and surrounding grounds was perfect in every way! Plenty of room to roam, enjoy meals together, hang out at the fire pit, gaze at the ocean, enjoy the hot tub staring at the star filled sky, and so much more.

We had the most amazing wedding celebration at The Driftwood Lodge! The location was gorgeous, everything was perfect and the hosts were friendly and helpful! We enjoyed every second of the 3 days spend here, in the hottub, gathering with friends and family, bbqing and eating together, dancing and celebrating! Can't wait to come back again some day!

We hosted our wedding weekend at the Driftwood Lodge and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The property is stunning—beautiful views, a thoughtfully designed house, and so many great details throughout. We spent three wonderful days there with our guests and had the perfect intimate 40-person ‘backyard wedding.’ Orrin (the owner) and Lindsay (the property manager/wedding planner) were attentive, responsive, and incredibly helpful. It was everything we hoped for and more.

My whole family fell in love with the Driftwood. We got married there, but my whole family stayed for 7 days. It was the most wonderful week we had ever spent together as a family. The rooms were all incredible, the property was just perfect everywhere you looked. We were able to bring my two little dogs so I was able to have them with me during my wedding. It was perfectly suited for us, we’re already planning our next trip back!

Unbelievable views and great accommodations with rooms that includes wood stoves, jacuzzi, and saunas. I didn’t want to leave.

Rugged Coastline meets Solitude

Whether looking to explore the Sonoma coast by land or sea, or simply retreating from the daily grind, the Driftwood Lodge is where California’s pristine coastline meets Redwood forest. Hear crashing waves and barking seals, watch whales and dolphins from every room, and smell the pine and redwood forest air. The Driftwood Lodge is where life hits “pause.”

5 Boutique Studio Units On-Site

Built as a “micro hotel” consisting of 5 individual 1-bed, 1-bath units each with a king bed, propane wall heater, wood-burning fireplace, TV, DVD player and wet bar with refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. All rooms have ocean views, 4 rooms have a private patio and 3 rooms have a jetted jacuzzi tub and sauna.

*Need more beds? Fort Ross Lodge is directly across the street from Driftwood Lodge with 16 additional suites.

Oceanview Meadow

The 1.5-acre meadow and patio overlook Highway 1 providing 180-degree views of crashing waves, stunning sunsets, and spectacular night sky views. Stay warm in the hot tub, relax by the fire pit, or grill on the propane BBQ while enjoying lawn games and watching the birds among the redwoods.

Redwood Forest + Creek

Explore the private trails in a 25-acre redwood forest.  Hunt for mushrooms, smell the rich pines and moss, and forest-bathe in complete solitude. Follow the trail to Fort Ross Creek, a year-round stream. And for the adventurous, hike along the creek for a half mile to reach the beach at Kolmer Gulch.

Connect with Friends & Family

The Lodge is designed for sharing, connecting and creating lifelong memories. Play board games, throw frisbees, or snuggle by the fire while enjoying a movie. There are endless opportunities to bond and experience nature while relaxing with those you love.

Work + Play

The lodge provides the opportunity for work, play, and privacy. With Starlink Wi-Fi at the Lodge and the Barn, the property has numerous private and communal spaces for kids to play or professionals to work in privacy.

Things to do on the Sonoma Coast

There are so many natural wonders to explore from Jenner to Gualala and beyond, all within 45 minutes of the Driftwood Lodge. Visit state and regional parks: Salt Point, Stillwater Cove, Fort Ross. Walk the 10-miles of cliff-side trails at Sea Ranch. Dine at Michelin-rated restaurants and other fine establishments. Explore the redwood trails on the property and beyond, including a visit to a secret apple orchard.
