What Guests Are Saying

Rugged Coastline meets Solitude

Whether looking to explore the Sonoma coast by land or sea, or simply retreating from the daily grind, the Driftwood Lodge is where California’s pristine coastline meets Redwood forest. Hear crashing waves and barking seals, watch whales and dolphins from every room, and smell the pine and redwood forest air. The Driftwood Lodge is where life hits “pause.”

5 Boutique Studio Units On-Site

Built as a “micro hotel” consisting of 5 individual 1-bed, 1-bath units each with a king bed, propane wall heater, wood-burning fireplace, TV, DVD player and wet bar with refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. All rooms have ocean views, 4 rooms have a private patio and 3 rooms have a jetted jacuzzi tub and sauna.

*Need more beds? Fort Ross Lodge is directly across the street from Driftwood Lodge with 16 additional suites.

Oceanview Meadow

The 1.5-acre meadow and patio overlook Highway 1 providing 180-degree views of crashing waves, stunning sunsets, and spectacular night sky views. Stay warm in the hot tub, relax by the fire pit, or grill on the propane BBQ while enjoying lawn games and watching the birds among the redwoods.

Redwood Forest + Creek

Explore the private trails in a 25-acre redwood forest.  Hunt for mushrooms, smell the rich pines and moss, and forest-bathe in complete solitude. Follow the trail to Fort Ross Creek, a year-round stream. And for the adventurous, hike along the creek for a half mile to reach the beach at Kolmer Gulch.

Connect with Friends & Family

The Lodge is designed for sharing, connecting and creating lifelong memories. Play board games, throw frisbees, or snuggle by the fire while enjoying a movie. There are endless opportunities to bond and experience nature while relaxing with those you love.

Work + Play

The lodge provides the opportunity for work, play, and privacy. With Starlink Wi-Fi at the Lodge and the Barn, the property has numerous private and communal spaces for kids to play or professionals to work in privacy.
