Mini-Farm

Visit our mini-farm, just 200 yards from the main lodge, near the barn and redwood forest trail. We have a full-time grounds manager who cares for our goats, chickens, and pigs.  Guests are invited to visit the animals during daylight hours, and arrangements can be made to pet and feed the animals subject to availability.

One of our dwarf Nigerian goats, Marshmallow LOVES attention!  Give her scratches, cuddles, snuggles and she will love you forever.  Kneel down in front of her, and she’ll jump on your back!

Our newest addition to the farm, meet Sunflower – one of our two pot-belly pigs!  She enjoys sniffing shoes and nibbling on shoe laces.  She is a sweetie and will happily lay down to receive scratches.

Play with our 23 chickens!  We have a variety of ages, including egg-layin and non-egg laying (they just need a few more months), a couple of roosters.  Maybe you can collect eggs!

Sweets is one of our two barn kittens, tasked with the important responsibility of keeping mice away!  She’s playful and fun and loves to purr when you rub her belly.  She’s curious but shy.

Pike enjoys staying close to his sister (Kit) and friends (Marshmallow and Maverick), but he’s scared of humans and typically runs away from people if you try to pet him.  But he’s still a cutie!

Kit is fun, playful, and has recently warmed up to humans (unlike her brother, Pike).  She’ll nibble your fingers if you put them near her mouth, but she’s friendly and loving with big and little humans.

One of our most friendly and loving goats, Maverick loves to be loved.  Snuggle him, pick him up, and give him kisses.  He may just fall asleep on your shoulder! We love Maverick and you will too.

Maverick

Bubbles (right) and Sunflower enjoy new smells and new people to explore.  They will lay down for scratches and pets, and will eat anything nearby.  Watch our for your shoelaces!

Our full-grown pigs are playful and noisy!  But don’t get too close, they’ll bite your fingers thinking you have food.  They will also knock you over, so please no entering their enclosure at any time.
