The lodge sits on 30 acres of redwood forest with a private trail leading to a seasonal creek. We have a mini-farm on site with dwarf goats, chickens, and pigs available for visiting and petting, depending on availability. Explore the 1.5 acre backyard meadow and find our Adirondack chairs and charming macramé hammock. You will not find another vacation home like this on the Sonoma Coast.
We provide 2 full propane tanks to be used with gas grill and outdoor heater. If you anticipate needing more, additional propane may need to be brought up or you can refill the tanks in Gualala or Sea Ranch Supply.
You’re in the woods! Expect some tiny visitors like spiders and beetles, and the occasional mouse. They won’t hurt you and we take every precaution to keep the house safe and clean. If you encounter wildlife indoors – please let us know so we can help remove them safely.
No matter what time of year, the Sonoma Coast offers an ideal escape and an opportunity to connect with nature, friends, and family. With a temperate climate and a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, the Driftwood Lodge is truly a vacation resort for all seasons.
