Our Recommended Route

We recommend using River Rd (Hwy 116) instead of Google’s usual directions through Petaluma and Bodega Bay.  Stay on 101 North and exit River Rd just north of Santa Rosa.  This alternative adds 3 minutes to your total drive time, includes less winding turns for those that get car sick.  It also takes you past Safeway in Guerneville for your last-minute grocery run.  The drive from Safeway to Driftwood Lodge is about 45 minutes.
